JAN. 19, 2012 -- Free training on understanding infant adoption is offered by Bethany Christian Services.  The training is a professional development opportunity for beginnig and intermediate health care and other professionals who serve pregnant women, teens and men to assist them in discussing adoption as an option. Agencies are invited to schedule sessions at their own workplaces; individuals are also welcome to attend one of the scheduled sessions as well.  CEUs are available. One free session is scheduled for noon to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at UWM Continuing Ed Center, 161 W. Wisconsin Ave.  To register, click here, or call Cyndie, 262-547-6557. 

MARCH 12-14, 2012-- The Wisconsin Summit on Teen Dating and Sexual Violence will be held March 12- 14 at Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.  This statewide Summit brings together a diverse group of teens and adults to learn how to prevent teen dating and sexual violence and what to do if it happens. The Summit includes: Workshops for teens and adults (presented by teens and adults), Teen performances, Live musical entertainment and time for fun. For more information, click here.

WELCOME BABY -- The 2012 "Welcome Baby" series of classes has been announced by The Parenting Network.The 10-week program for expectant parents and parents of newborns and infants up to one-year of age will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Wednesdays at The Parenting Network, 7516 W. Burleigh St.Sessions will begin Jan. 18, continuing through to March 21, 2012.  To register or for more information, call the Parent Helpline, 414-671-0566.

THE PARENTING NETWORK -- An ongoing free support group for grandparents and other relatives raising children will be held the third Wednesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Villard Square Grandfamily Housing, 3427 W.
